Continuing the Bindu series, this piece incorporates elements that have been shown to support positive outcomes for viewers like having clear imagery (leaves, flowers, and vines), soft edges (the sculpture is filled with Poly-fil, giving it a soft, comforting feeling), and a reference to nature. I chose to reference plants because they are associated with medicine and healing – it has been shown that spending time in settings like the forest has a healing effect on humans, reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, and improving mood.
