Midnight performance in the basement of Alderman Library in the section of texts written in South Asian languages. My mother and I placed a strip of cloth containing English words of South Asian origin around the perimeter of the room, using hand-made terracotta oil lamps as weights (as well as a small bronze amulet based on the terracotta lamp form).
